Letran Community Volunteers’ Dugong Alay, Dugong Buhay 2017

“Dugong Alay, Dugtong Buhay 2017”, a blood letting event headed by the Center for Community Development, will be held at the Salon de Actos on September 7.
The event is in collaboration with the Department of Health – Philippine Blood Center.
Who can donate blood?
Age: 16 – 65 years old (for below 18 years old, parent’s consent is needed)
Weight: At least 50kg or 110lbs
Pulse Rate: Between 60 and 100 beats/ minute with regular rhythm
Blood Pressure: Between 90/70 and 140/90
Hemoglobin: At least 125g/L
Those who are pregnant, with acute fever, had recent alcohol intake, have ear or body piercing and tattoos, and have had recent surgeries can’t TEMPORARILY donate blood.
Those who can’t donate blood ANYTIME are those who have cancer, high risk occupations, Hepatitis B and C, HIV infection, AIDS or STD, unexplained weight lossor more than 5kg over the last six months, Cardiac Disease, Severe Lung Disease, Chronic Alcoholism, and other conditions or diseases stated in the Guidelines to Medical Assessment of Blood Donors.
