A Second Round Table Discussion with experts on museology, art and architecture history, and heritage conservation was organized last Friday, 22 September 2017, at the White Knight Hotel, by the Intramuros Administration. The consultation activity, a follow-up on the first Round Table Discussion held last June 22, aimed to present the Intramuros Identity and Urban Design Guidelines, and the revised plans and intentions of the Intramuros Administration on the reconstructed San Ignacio Church in Arzobispo Street vis-à-vis the recommendations put forward in the first meeting.
Gracing the event were the following experts: Amado Alvarez, representing Virgilio Almario, Chair of the National Commission on Culture and the Arts; Jeremy Robert Barns, Executive Director of the National Museum; Dominic Galicia, former President of the International Council on Monuments and Sites; Erik Akpedonu of the Institute of Philippine Culture of the Ateneo de Manila University; Fernando Zialcita of the School of Social Sciences of the Ateneo de Manila University; Ar. Bettina Bulaong, Executive Director of the Escuela Taller de Filipinas Foundation; Prof. Regalado Jose, Archivist of the University of Santo Tomas; Prof. Manuel Noche of the College of Architecture of the University of Santo Tomas; Dr. Jaime Laya, former Action Officer of the Intramuros Administration; Dr. Esperanza Gatbonton and Martin Imperial Tinio, former consultants of the Intramuros Administration.
