The Intramuros Administration, in partnership with the WTA Architecture and Design Studio’s The Book Stop Project PH and the Heritage Conservation Society, organized today, 10 June 2017, a Chinese-Filipino Heritage Tour in Intramuros. The aim of the tour was for the promotion of the heritage of the “Tsinoy” (a portmanteau of the words Chinese and Pinoy or Filipino) in Intramuros, and as such, three sites were visited: the Kaisa-Angelo King Heritage Center, or the Bahay Tsinoy; the Museo Destileria Limtuaco, the museum of the oldest distillery in the Philippines; and the Puerta Parian, the gate that originally faced the former site of the Chinese settlement in Manila, known as the Parian.
