Mark Richard Evidente is both a lawyer and an environmental planner. He is President and CEO of TwoEco, Inc., a consulting firm that focuses on sustainable tourism development, preparing policy studies and development plans for national and local governments, communities, and developers. He also serves as President of the Heritage Conservation Society, and sits on the boards of the Southeast Asian Cultural Heritage Alliance, Philippine Green Building Initiative, and Clean Our Oceans Project, and on the Sustainability and Social Responsibility Committee of the Pacific Asia Travel Association.
He has taught and conducted research at the University of the Philippines and is currently working on a book on heritage and culture law. He finished his master’s degree in environmental law, policy and economics at Yale University, law and political science degrees at the University of the Philippines, and trained in heritage conservation with the Getty Institute.

About the Intramuros Learning Sessions
The Intramuros Learning Sessions (ILS) is the educational webinar series of the Intramuros Administration (IA). The IA is an attached national government agency under the Department of Tourism.
Topics are interdisciplinary and cover themes related to Intramuros and Manila studies, Philippine studies, as well as cultural heritage studies. Pursuant to IA’s charter, the ILS aims to contribute to the strengthening of the Filipino’s national identity and sense of belonging and pride.
