Children’s Tile Art Exhibit
October 12, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) is once again leading the annual commemoration activities for the “National Week on Overcoming Extreme Poverty” in the country. After spearheading the Kilos Sambayanan Laban sa Kahirapan art workshop last September 23, where more than 40 kids from urban poor communities in Manila, Laguna and Rizal participated, the NAPC will unveil in an outdoor exhibit the artworks that the kids created on October 12, Friday, 2:00pm – 5:00pm at the Plaza Roma in Intramuros, Manila (in front of Manila Cathedral).
Inspired by the creative guidance of veteran visual artists, Sir Boy Dominguez and Mr. Max Santiago, the kids’ artworks are reflective of their collective interpretation of NAPC’s poverty eradication policy framework and their individual artistic interpretation of the 10 Basic Needs of every Filipino that the NAPC identified.
