October 14 and 15 were the days of the Intramuros Open House wherein thousands flocked the Walled City to visit its sites and museums. Most visitors also took the opportunity to use their smartphones for a souvenir photo several attractions in Intramuros such as Fort Santiago and the Manila Cathedral.
The open house event became more meaningful especially to those who enjoy taking pictures as the Intramuros Administration (IA) in cooperation with the Federation of Philippines Photographers Foundation (FPPF) launched a smartphone photography competition entitled Intramuros “Balik Tanaw sa Kasysayan.”
For the past two days, photography enthusiasts and professional photographers used their phone to capture images of Intramuros in various forms. As the theme is about looking back at history, the backdrop used were the walls, gates, fortifications, and churches.
