In celebration of its Golden Anniversary, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila​​), in partnership with the Intramuros Administration, organized yesterday​ at the ​Justo Alberto Auditorium, 12 October 2017​, the ​second ​PARA LA MUSICA concert series, a free concert​ featuring the flute and guitar. Now on its third run, the concert series​ will run every second Thursday of the month until December 2017.

The concert yesterday featured flutist Dr. Santiago Yangco and guitarist Rafael Ronquillo. The crowd, composed of members of the Intramuros and PLM community, were serenaded by pieces such as Sonata Concertata by N. Paganinni, Mouvements Perpetuels by Francis Poulenc, Humoreske by Antonin Dvorák, Iniibig Kita by Angel Matias Peńa, Nahan by Ernani Cuenco, Bituing Marikit by N. Abelardo, Kundiman ng Luha by N. Abelardo, Piazza.

Succeeding dates of the concert series are as follows: November 9, and December 14, 2017, with venues for each yet to be announced.
