Intramuros Learning Sessions episode no. 83

This presentation is about the experience of the City of Valenzuela in heritage conservation, tourism development and public history through the development of a museum dedicated to the life and heroism of Dr. Pio Valenzuela (1869-1956). Being named after the hero, the City of Valenzuela serves as an agency that promotes the relevance and meaning of Dr Pio Valenzuela today as it fulfills its social obligations in the name of education, heritage and tourism.

Through the Pio Valenzuela museum project of the Valenzuela City LGU, the presentation aims to discuss and reflect on the issues and challenges that are common to cultural governance, heritage and tourism development in the local context.
