The talk is a simple and comprehensible presentation of why biking should be embraced by the Filipinos and supported by the government. It will cover topics on the environment, physical and mental health, economics, culture and society in the Philippine setting.
Isang simpleng pagtatalakay kung bakit kailangan ng Pilipinas ang sustainable transport system, lalong lalo na biking. Paguusapan ang mabuting naidudulot ng pagbbike sa kalikasan, physical and mental health, ekonomiya, kultura at sa lipunan.

About the Guest Speaker: Angela Angala
Ann Angala is a sustainable transport and lifestyle advocate. She is the co-founder and President of the Bikers United Movement. A volunteer organization that is greatly credited for the creation of bike lanes all over the country. The group is mainly focused on assisting the bike-to-work community and helping with their needs. Aside from actively advocating for biking as transport. Ann is an anti-abuse champion and resource speaker, she is also a champion of sustainable lifestyle She is a media practitioner by profession. She graduated as the most outstanding student of the University of the Philippines, College of Mass Communications in Film & Audio-Visual in 1991. She has been in the industry for 30 years and began her career as the manager of bands like Eraserheads, The Dawn, Bamboo, POT, Asin, Barbie’s Cradle, Jireh Lim, and many more. She is currently a freelance writer and events organizer.
About the Intramuros Learning Sessions
The Intramuros Learning Sessions (ILS) is the educational webinar series of the Intramuros Administration (IA). The IA is an attached national government agency under the Department of Tourism.
Topics are interdisciplinary and cover themes related to Intramuros and Manila studies, Philippine studies, as well as cultural heritage studies. Pursuant to IA’s charter, the ILS aims to contribute to the strengthening of the Filipino’s national identity and sense of belonging and pride.
