Project Overview

As the title suggests, the project aims to reimagine public spaces in Blocks 32 and 40 as the heart of the community. In times of rapid change such as the pandemic, placemaking is seen as an approach to encourage community involvement and strengthen their connection with the place while addressing the general issues that affect the health and well-being of the residents. In line with the project goal, sustainable practices and community food production will be implemented in the proposed community hub development while allowing leisure activities to happen. These allow the community of Blocks 32 and 40 to grow and prosper in the historic walls of Intramuros.
